Cleveland VOTES Premiering Third Film in their Documentary Series, Voting in the Land

On October 28 we are hosting the premiere of "Dignity on the Ballot," a short documentary exploring what it’s like to navigate the voting process while experiencing housing insecurity.
"Dignity on the Ballot" is the third installment of Voting in the Land (VITL), a documentary series we created in 2024. VITL looks at the challenges and triumphs of voting in Cleveland, with a focus on sharing the stories and voices that are often overlooked by mainstream media.
What can you expect
The evening will feature a screening of "Dignity on the Ballot." Following the film, join Cleveland VOTES and community partner Greater Cleveland Congregations for a conversation about getting out the vote this election season, and how we as community members can support our neighbors experiencing housing insecurity and help them experience the dignity of participating fully in our democracy.
After the screening and conversation, stick around to mingle, connect, and network with fellow community members and the partners who helped bring this story to life, including Cleveland VOTES, Northeast Ohio Coalition for the Homeless, and The Wholeness Project. Refreshments will be provided.
Who is this event for?
This event is for the whole community! Whether you’ve attended a Cleveland VOTES event before or this is your first one, everyone is welcome. We’re excited to create a space where you can learn, connect, and explore how elections and civic engagement impact all of us, often in different ways and for different reasons.
