Cleveland VOTES launches "Time off to Vote" pledge campaign

With the 2026 November General Election right around the corner, Cleveland VOTES is urging employers to consider providing time off to their employees. On Sept. 14 they launched a "Time off to Vote" pledge campaign. Employers can sign the pledge until Oct. 5.
Encouraging employees to vote is not just good for democracy—it's good for business. Employers who sign the pledge will be shared on social media and in the Cleveland VOTES newsletter in October. In 2024 when we first ran the pledge campaign, 30 private and nonprofit leaders signed it. Cleveland VOTES hopes to get many more in 2026.
