On May 13, Cleveland VOTES' Civic Engagement Strategist Gloria Craig was chosen as one of Engage! Cleveland's “26 Emerging Professionals You Need To Know In 2026.” Craig was chosen for her professional accomplishments and civic involvement.

Engage! Cleveland is a community engagement organization focused on young professionals, emerging talent and business/community leaders who are passionate about making Cleveland a top destination for the next generation.  They regularly elevate professionals in Greater Cleveland who are excelling in their field. The people on this year’s “26 in 26” list were nominated by their peers and reviewed by a selection committee. Engage! Cleveland says the nominees “represent the talent, leadership, and commitment making an impact across our region—and shaping what’s next for Cleveland.”

Craig has made an impact in the region through her community engagement work at Lutheran Metropolitan Ministry and Cleveland VOTES. She has led civic engagement initiatives and voter mobilization campaigns, conducted qualitative and statistical research to inform policy and practice, and more. She has also used creative activism to elevate social issues. She has directed two short documentaries: “A Walk in My Shoes” (2024) and “Accessibility and the Ballot” (2025).

“This award for me is a reminder to continue to be myself—continue to create, ask questions, and take advantage of the free will we’ve all been given to do something worthwhile,” Craig says.

Craig will be recognized with the other honorees at the “26 in 26 Awards Ceremony and Breakfast” on Thursday June 11th, 2026. Register for the ceremony.
